Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based at Ipca Laboratories Limited in Indore. The Mechanical Engineer will support the efficient operation and maintenance of plant machinery, utilities, and mechanical systems, ensuring minimal downtime and compliance with safety and quality standards. Daily responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, coordinating with production teams to plan shutdowns, and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role involves diagnosing mechanical issues, proposing technical solutions, and implementing improvements to enhance reliability, energy efficiency, and overall plant performance. The Mechanical Engineer will also collaborate with cross-functional teams on installation, commissioning, and modification of equipment in line with GMP and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong mechanical engineering knowledge in areas such as rotating equipment, utility systems (HVAC, boilers, compressors), and mechanical maintenance practices.
Candidates should possess practical skills in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Candidates should possess familiarity with pharmaceutical or process industry operations, including GMP guidelines, safety standards, and equipment documentation.
Candidates should possess proficiency in using engineering tools and software for drafting, documentation, and maintenance planning (e.g., AutoCAD, CMMS).
Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with production, quality, and EHS teams.
Candidates should possess a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, with relevant plant or industrial experience preferred.
Candidates should possess a focus on continuous improvement, with an aptitude for optimizing equipment performance, energy usage, and reliability.
