General Description
As an Security Analyst, you will be part of a team of highly skilled engineers providing delivery services for customers in several verticals, including retail, finance, healthcare, and more. Your primary responsibilities revolve around partnering with our customers to advise, develop, implement, and optimize all components of the vulnerability management lifecycle.
About the North Central Vulnerability/Exposure Management practice
The North Central Vulnerability/Exposure Management practice is responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering on exposure management initiatives to help drive risk reduction for customers. The team handles point in time consulting engagements and long-term managed service engagements to help fulfill customer requests and needs.
Our team works with a broad set of technologies and is constantly evaluating the landscape to help customers stay ahead of the curve. Solutions such as Qualys, Tenable, Rapid7 often provide the backbone of customer exposure management infrastructure and are critical to understand and support. Helping customers determine the best technology for them and continually assessing what’s new on the market is crucial to success in this role and on this team.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Execute and manage vulnerability scanning of internal, external, and cloud networks
Plan, design, and implement enterprise vulnerability scanning infrastructure in a hybrid or multi-cloud architecture
Deploy vulnerability management infrastructure such as scanners, sensors, and agent configurations on-premise and in the cloud.
Advise customers on Vulnerability Management best practices
Perform Vulnerability Management gap assessments for customers
Provide guidance and collaborate with peers on the Vulnerability Management practice team
Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to our customers
Embraces emerging technologies, including AI tools, to work smarter, solve problems, and drive better business outcomes
Required Experience and Education:
Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of information security experience
1+ year of vulnerability engineering experience
Must have experience with Rapid 7, Tenable or Qualys Vulnerability Management
Advanced practical skills in vulnerability assessment tooling such as Tenable, Rapid7, and Qualys.
Experience with scripting tasks using native tools such as BASH, PowerShell, Python, or other native scripting languages is a plus
Asset management skills and experience with tools like Axonius and Armis is a plus
Experience with aggregation solutions such as Zafran and Nucleus is a plus
Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Experience with Kubernetes, containers, Ci/CD or serverless is a plus
An understanding of operating systems such as Windows Server, Windows Workstations, Mac OSX, RHEL, and Ubuntu Linux and the ability to perform advanced functions at the CLI
Ability to manage time independently while handling multiple projects concurrently
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A strong desire to learn new technologies and contribute to a fast-growing company
Travel Requirements:
Up to 10% travel
Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work
Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
