Turner & Townsend are leaders in professional services to the Data Centre sector globally. Due to the continued success and expansion of our Data Centre business in Spain, we would like to talk to Civil & Construction Professionals to join our Data Centre team.
Please note that this position requires candidates to be based in Badajoz or be available to travel and work on-site in Badajoz five days per week.
The successful candidate will act as the Owner's Representative during the construction and commissioning phases, overseeing multidisciplinary site activities, managing technical changes, monitoring contractor performance, verifying compliance with project documentation, and supporting start-up and performance testing activities to ensure the successful delivery of the project.

Responsibilities:
Manage and control CSA engineering changes during project execution and site implementation.
Verify that all civil, structural and architectural construction works are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
Supervise and coordinate civil, structural and architectural construction activities, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
Monitor contractor performance, schedule adherence and achievement of CSA project milestones.
Oversee site installation activities related to civil, structural and architectural works and support construction readiness for subsequent project phases.
Provide technical support and field coordination during construction, commissioning preparation and handover activities.
Ensure construction teams are working to the latest approved drawings, specifications, procedures and project documentation.
Attend and contribute to progress meetings with clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders.
Identify, document and manage construction issues, non-conformities, deviations and potential contractual impacts.
Witness and verify inspections of construction materials and completed works, ensuring compliance with project quality requirements.
Review and validate construction progress reporting and completed work quantities.
Support punch list management, project close-out and warranty-related activities for CSA scope.
Monitor and enforce compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) requirements across all CSA activities.
Support quality assurance and quality control processes, including audits, inspections and follow-up of corrective actions.
Coordinate interfaces between CSA works and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
Identify risks, constraints and potential delays within the CSA scope and proactively drive mitigation actions.
Degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
Several years of experience in site supervision, construction management, or construction execution of industrial, energy, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects; experience in Data Centre construction is a plus.
Strong knowledge of civil, structural and architectural construction methods, construction sequencing, and site execution practices.
Solid understanding of construction supervision, quality control, contract administration, and project delivery processes.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary project environment and coordinating interfaces between CSA, MEP, commissioning, and project management teams.
Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
Strong and professional communication skills, with great organization skills, ability to multi-task
Must have a “team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required.
Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
