YOUR MISSION
Position Title: Senior Associate - Accounts
Reports to: Assistant Manager - Business Finance (Retail)
Position Summary: The incumbent will be responsible for end-to-end control and reconciliation of retail sales and inventory transactions across POS and SAP. The role will ensure that sales and stock movements are accurately recorded, reconciled and synchronized across systems, with timely resolution of transaction/document-related issues. It will also involve sales and COGS closure for month end.
The role will work closely with Store Operations, Warehouse, Finance, Internal Audit and other cross-functional teams to identify gaps, investigate root causes and drive closure of issues related to sales posting, inventory movements and system reconciliation.
The ideal candidate should have strong SAP knowledge in Sales & Inventory processes, strong Excel skills and a high level of ownership for resolving operational issues. Retail domain experience is preferred.
Key Objectives:
Sales Reconciliation & Control
Perform regular reconciliation of sales between POS and SAP.
Identify and investigate mismatches, unposted sales and stuck/failed documents.
Ensure timely clearance and posting of all pending/stuck sales documents.
Ensure complete and accurate sales posting in SAP
Month end sales closure
Inventory Movement Control
Monitor and track end-to-end inventory movements across:
Warehouse → Store
Store → Store
Store → Warehouse
Other inter-location movements
Ensure all physical stock movements are accurately captured and synchronized between POS and SAP.
Track pending, failed or unmatched stock movement documents and drive timely closure.
Month end COGS closure
Inventory Reconciliation
Prepare and maintain regular reconciliation between SAP stock and system stock.
Deep dive into inventory differences and identify root causes.
Investigate discrepancies arising from system transactions, stock movements, posting gaps, timing differences and operational errors.
Drive corrective actions and ensure closure of identified gaps.
Stock Audit & Compliance
Maintain effective tracking of store stock audits.
Monitor audit observations and ensure timely investigation and closure of inventory-related gaps
Coordinate with Internal Audit and provide necessary reconciliations, transaction details and supporting information
Issue Resolution & Stakeholder Management
Act as a key point of contact for sales and inventory-related system/process issues.
Coordinate with Store, Warehouse, Finance, IT/SAP and Internal Audit teams to resolve issues.
Proactively identify recurring issues and recommend process/system improvements.
Demonstrate strong ownership and willingness to deep dive into issues until resolution.

YOUR TALENT
Eligibility Criteria And Functional Competencies Required:
B.Com / equivalent qualification
Relevant experience in retail finance, inventory control, sales postings, retail operations finance or inventory accounting.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP, particularly sales posting, inventory transactions and stock movement processes.
Experience working with retail POS systems and inventory management systems.
Strong Excel and analytical skills.
Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify root causes rather than only reporting variances.
Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
High ownership, attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
