Role Description This full-time Senior Firmware Engineer (C++) role is based in Bengaluru in a hybrid work model, combining on-site collaboration with flexibility for some work from home. The individual in this position will design, implement, and maintain embedded firmware solutions, primarily using C++ on ARM-based platforms. Daily responsibilities include analyzing requirements, developing software architectures, writing and reviewing code, and performing systematic debugging and optimization of embedded systems. The role involves close collaboration with hardware, electrical, and software teams to ensure seamless integration, reliability, and performance of products. The Senior Firmware Engineer will also contribute to documentation, support verification and validation activities, and mentor less experienced engineers in best practices for embedded software development.
Job Requirements
• Senior Software Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Firmware development
Key Responsibilities
• Design and development of multitask embedded systems running in Linux, VxWorks/RTOS, and windows
• Architect, design, and develop software for high-performance, networked, and distributed computing ecosystems
• Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software using C++ object-oriented design principles and sophisticated architectural patterns
• Work with cross functional and global teams, align and bring best practices in class processes, coding standards etc
Work Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing multi-tasked embedded software across Linux, VxWorks/RTOS, and Windows platforms
• High proficiency in object-oriented design (OOD) and sophisticated C++ programming concepts
• Strong foundational and advanced knowledge of software design patterns
• Experience in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, or PowerShell is a plus
