Job Description:
Senior hands-on technical lead responsible for building a digital ecosystem from the ground up, including data infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and web-based tools for a construction materials business.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Define technology requirements, architecture, and implementation approach
Build core platform infrastructure and establish a single source of truth for product, pricing, technical, and sales data
Develop APIs and integrations across Revit, BIMobject, ConstructConnect, Salesforce, and internal data sources
Build and support contractor-facing web interfaces and potentially distributor/architect tools
Support BIM library and Revit integration initiatives with external vendors
Develop quoting, package submittal, and product selection functionality
Support analytics and specification-targeting tools
Pressure-test functionality and integrations to ensure end-to-end performance
Manage priorities, sequencing, timelines, and project progress
Coordinate with internal subject matter experts, design partners, and external vendors
Advise stakeholders on technology stack and best implementation approach
Provide regular progress updates and proactively identify risks or dependencies
Minimum Requirements:
Senior-level full-stack engineering experience with both backend and UI development
Strong API development and systems integration experience
Experience building a digital product/platform from scratch in a lean or startup-like environment
Experience designing data structures and establishing a centralized source of truth
Familiarity with BIM, Revit, and/or the building materials/construction technology ecosystem
Ability to own lightweight project management in addition to hands-on technical development
Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders and vendors
Ability to independently determine the right technology approach and execute with limited direction
Preferred Qualifications:
UX, wireframing, or web/mobile product design experience
Analytics or ConstructConnect experience
Salesforce integration experience
Cloud deployment experience
Revit or BIMobject experience
Distributor portal or quoting tool experience
Experience with construction products, building systems, or architectural technology
