HR Manager / People Operations Manager / HR Supervisor

Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role for an HR Manager / People Operations Manager / HR Supervisor, based in Abu Dhabi with some flexibility for work from home. The role involves overseeing day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment and onboarding, employee lifecycle management, and coordination with academic and administrative units. Responsibilities include implementing HR policies, maintaining employee records, managing performance and feedback processes, and supporting training and development initiatives. The manager will handle employee relations, ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and institutional regulations, and contribute to workplace well-being and engagement. The role also includes preparing HR reports, supporting workforce planning, and collaborating with leadership to align people practices with the university’s mission.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in core HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Skills in HR policy implementation, compliance with labor regulations, and maintaining accurate HR documentation and records.
Ability to support training, development, and talent management initiatives in an academic or knowledge-driven environment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and cultural contexts.
Proficiency with HR information systems, office productivity tools, and basic data reporting for HR analytics.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree or professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is an advantage.
Previous experience in higher education, public sector, or a similarly structured institution is preferred.
Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage multiple priorities, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
