About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
The Advisor Onboarding & Sales Activation Specialist is accountable for helping new and developing advisors successfully navigate the critical journey from contracting to active production with Manulife.
With an initial focus on WFG, the role provides a coordinated point of support for advisors as they complete contracting requirements, establish access to Manulife's advisor platforms, learn how to navigate key tools and processes, and begin submitting business.
The role does not replace the teams accountable for contracting, technology, new business or service. Instead, it helps advisors navigate across those functions, removes friction and coordinates resolution when issues prevent an advisor from becoming productive.
The role also provides targeted support during critical WFG production periods, including month-end, helping advisors resolve barriers that could prevent business from being successfully submitted or completed.
Position Responsibilities:
Guide newly recruited WFG advisors through the Manulife onboarding journey.
Help advisors understand and navigate contracting requirements and status.
Support successful registration and onboarding to Advisor Portal.
Ensure advisors understand where and how to access the tools required to conduct business.
Identify advisors who have completed contracting but have not progressed to activation or first sale.
Partner with Advisor Acquisition, Sales and Sales Enablement to move advisors from contracted to active.
Provide targeted support during month-end production periods.
Help triage and coordinate resolution of contracting, portal, process and new-business issues.
Maintain strong relationships with Contracting, Operations, Technology, New Business and Service teams.
Track recurring advisor pain points and recommend process, education or capability improvements.
Develop FAQs, guides and other scalable support resources based on recurring issues.
Use advisor feedback and data to continuously improve the onboarding journey.
Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word.
Strong organizational, time-management, and priority-setting skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate issues independently.
Strong verbal communication and business writing skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to exercise discretion and tact when handling sensitive and confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in or knowledge of the life insurance business and related products.
Fast learner and self-starter who takes initiative and works proactively.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly and become a subject matter resource for sales team members.
Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and adapt to changing priorities and tight deadlines.
Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset. If the successful candidate is in Québec, proficiency in both languages will be required to support clients from various provinces outside of Quebec.
