Job Description Summary
The Research Project Manager will provide scientific and operational leadership for a portfolio of complex, multidisciplinary cancer biology research projects in the Feldser laboratory. Working in collaboration with the Principal Investigator, the position will coordinate research strategy and day-to-day project execution; oversee experimental workflows, data quality, documentation, and project milestones; coordinate activities among laboratory members and internal and external collaborators; and provide training and scientific guidance to research staff and trainees. The Research Project Manager will also contribute to the development of grant applications, progress reports, manuscripts, and other scientific communications and will exercise substantial independent judgment in resolving scientific and operational problems.

Job Responsibilities
Provides daily operations management of research projects working in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and project teams; supervises staff, plans meetings and manages budget
Develops and manages systems for data collection, quality control and compliance
Oversees and manages data for the research projects
Prepares financial, regulatory and technical progress reports; drafts articles for publication; prepares data summaries
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and 5 to 7 years or Master of Science, Master of Arts, and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Position is contingent upon continued funding.

$67,155.00 - $90,000.00 Annual Rate
Salary offers are made based on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job’s level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
