Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire InsuranceNow Technical Architect with deep expertise in Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX) and Pet Insurance platforms. This role will lead the architecture, design, and modernization of policy administration solutions, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems that support product innovation, regulatory compliance, underwriting, billing, and claims operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong InsuranceNow technical expertise with deep Pet Insurance domain knowledge and the ability to provide architectural leadership across business and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end architecture and technical roadmap for the Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX) Pet Insurance platform.
Lead solution design and implementation for product enhancements, rating changes, underwriting rules, claims processing, billing, and policy administration capabilities.
Define architecture standards, integration patterns, technical governance processes, and development best practices for InsuranceNow solutions.
Partner with Product, Business, Actuarial, Claims, Underwriting, and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Design and oversee configuration of InsuranceNow product models, ratebooks, business rules, forms, workflows, and customer-facing processes.
Evaluate the impact of regulatory changes, state filings, and business requirements across pet insurance products and jurisdictions.
Architect integrations between InsuranceNow and enterprise systems including CRM, billing, payment processing, claims, document management, and third-party service providers.
Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, compliance requirements, performance objectives, and operational resiliency standards.
Conduct architecture reviews, design governance sessions, technical assessments, and release readiness evaluations.
Mentor development teams, provide technical leadership, and support the successful delivery of strategic initiatives and platform enhancements.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in insurance technology, solution architecture, or Guidewire platform implementation roles.
Extensive hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceNow (ACX) architecture, configuration, customization, and integration.
Strong domain expertise in Pet Insurance, including policy administration, underwriting, rating, claims, billing, and regulatory compliance processes.
Experience configuring and managing InsuranceNow product models, ratebooks, workflows, forms, business rules, and enterprise integrations.
Proven experience leading enterprise-scale InsuranceNow implementation, modernization, or transformation programs.
Strong understanding of insurance product lifecycle management, policy servicing, customer experience, and operational workflows.
Experience designing API-based integrations, cloud-native solutions, and modern insurance platform architectures.
Strong stakeholder management, communication, technical leadership, and architecture governance skills.
Ability to balance strategic architecture planning with hands-on technical problem-solving and delivery support.
Guidewire InsuranceNow, Guidewire Cloud, or related Guidewire certifications are highly preferred.

Salary And Other Compensation
The annual salary for this position is between $[132,500 - 153,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
