We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong thermal engineering and simulation experience to work on the design and development of thermal energy systems, heat-transfer equipment and industrial mechanical products.
What You'll Do
Take mechanical products and thermal systems from concept → 3D CAD → engineering calculations → detailed drawings → prototype → manufacturing → testing → design improvement.
Design and develop heat exchangers, thermal systems, pressure-containing components, ducting, manifolds, piping, frames, supports and industrial equipment.
Develop detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
Prepare manufacturing-ready GA, fabrication, part and assembly drawings.
Apply GD&T, tolerance stack-up, DFMA and manufacturability principles.
Perform heat-transfer, thermal, mechanical and structural calculations.
Work on FEA and CFD simulations, including thermal/structural/flow analysis.
Select suitable materials for mechanical and high-temperature applications.
Design components involving sheet metal, welding and fabrication.
Work with manufacturing teams, vendors and fabricators to take designs from CAD to physical products.
Support prototype development, testing, validation and design iterations.
Prepare and maintain BOMs, engineering documentation and revision-controlled drawings.
