Role Overview:
We’re looking for an assistant to support the end-to-end processing of Australian mortgage applications, from document collection and verification through to application tracking and updates. The role involves maintaining accurate CRM records, monitoring loan pipelines through lender portals, coordinating with clients and lenders, and ensuring all application requirements are completed and up to date.
Key Responsibilities:
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and inventory management reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
Develop and maintain strong internal controls and scalable accounting processes that improve accuracy, efficiency, and financial discipline.
Help with annual audits with external auditors.
Partner with Finance and operational leadership on budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and analysis of key business drivers, margins, and operating performance.
Lead and develop the inventory accounting function while continuously identifying opportunities for automation, systems improvements, and process optimization.
Qualifications:
5+ years of progressive accounting experience owning the accounting for a manufacturing company.
Experience with the monthly close, financial statement preparation, and audit process in a complex or growing organization.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.
Experience with physical products or hardware, including exposure to inventory, COGS, and fixed assets.
Strong analytical, systems, and process-improvement skills with the ability to identify opportunities for automation and scalability.
A hands-on, detail-oriented mindset with strong communication skills and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 10pm to 7am PHT
