Summary:
In this role, you will lead Value Analysis operations and strategic initiatives that improve clinical outcomes, optimize product utilization, enhance operational efficiency, and deliver measurable financial value. You will oversee multidisciplinary collaboration, product evaluations, technology assessments, and standardization initiatives while ensuring evidence-based decision-making and effective governance. You will develop team capabilities, strengthen relationships with healthcare clients and clinical leaders, and advance innovative solutions, including artificial intelligence (AI), to drive continuous improvement and sustainable organizational outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, performance management, accountability, talent development, and a collaborative, inclusive culture aligned with strategic objectives.
Direct day-to-day Value Analysis operations, including product evaluations, technology assessments, utilization management, and standardization initiatives.
Manage the intake, prioritization, evaluation, and implementation of new product requests, urgent requests, and product conversions in accordance with established governance processes.
Oversee Value Analysis committees and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate timely, evidence-based decisions supported by clinical, financial, operational, and regulatory considerations.
Collaborate with supply chain, strategic sourcing, finance, clinical operations, nursing, and physician leadership to identify cost reduction, utilization optimization, and operational improvement opportunities.
Develop and maintain departmental policies, workflows, standard operating procedures, and governance frameworks to ensure compliance and consistent execution of Value Analysis methodologies.
Monitor initiative implementation, organizational adoption, financial performance, and key performance indicators to validate savings and support operating and capital planning.
Build strategic relationships with clinical, executive, and operational leaders to facilitate consensus, address complex issues, and advance product selection and standardization initiatives.
Present strategic recommendations, implementation plans, financial outcomes, and performance results to leadership, multidisciplinary committees, and healthcare clients.
Lead the adoption of AI-enabled tools and innovative technologies to enhance Value Analysis research, analysis, documentation, reporting, communication, and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Relevant degree preferred.
7 or more years of relevant experience in healthcare Value Analysis, clinical supply chain management, product evaluation, utilization management, or strategic sourcing.
Demonstrated experience leading teams, developing talent, managing performance, and driving organizational change.
Strong knowledge of Value Analysis governance, evidence-based product evaluation, clinical standardization, and healthcare regulatory requirements.
Experience facilitating multidisciplinary committees and collaborating with physicians, clinicians, supply chain, finance, and executive leadership.
Strong financial and analytical skills, including experience evaluating product costs, validating savings, and measuring initiative outcomes.
Demonstrated ability to develop operational strategies, implement process improvements, and manage complex initiatives.
Excellent communication, presentation, facilitation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
Familiarity with healthcare analytics, reporting technologies, and AI-enabled tools to support operational efficiency and decision-making.
Estimated Hiring Range:
At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $117,600.00 to $206,000.00.
