Role Description The Ecommerce Specialist is a full-time, on-site role located in Kanpur, responsible for managing and optimizing online sales channels for client businesses. Day-to-day tasks include setting up and maintaining product listings, monitoring inventory and pricing, and ensuring accurate and engaging content across ecommerce platforms. The role involves tracking performance metrics, analyzing customer behavior, and implementing strategies to improve conversion rates, average order value, and overall revenue. The Ecommerce Specialist will collaborate with marketing, design, and sales teams to support campaigns, enhance customer experience, and troubleshoot issues related to orders, payments, and fulfillment. This position also requires regular reporting on ecommerce performance and recommending data-driven improvements to achieve clients’ growth objectives.
Qualifications
Strong ecommerce knowledge with experience managing online marketplaces or storefronts (e.g., product listings, pricing, catalog management).
Demonstrated analytical skills for interpreting sales data, customer behavior, and web analytics to inform optimization strategies.
Customer service skills with a focus on resolving issues promptly, maintaining a positive buyer experience, and handling inquiries professionally.
Effective communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication for internal collaboration and external client interaction.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to support upselling, cross-selling, and promotional activities that drive revenue growth.
Proficiency with ecommerce and digital tools (such as CMS platforms, marketplace dashboards, and basic Excel or Google Sheets for reporting).
Ability to work on-site in Kanpur, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, commerce, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in ecommerce operations.
Experience in digital marketing, SEO for product listings, or online advertising is an advantage.
