Role Description The Assistant Manager Logistics is a full-time, on-site role based in Valsad. This position is responsible for overseeing daily logistics operations, including coordination of inbound and outbound shipments, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely distribution of materials and finished goods. The role involves managing inventory levels, aligning warehouse activities with production and sales requirements, and supporting supply chain planning to minimize delays and stock discrepancies. The Assistant Manager Logistics will collaborate with suppliers, transport partners, and internal teams to optimize routes, control logistics costs, and maintain accurate documentation. In addition, the role requires resolving logistics-related issues, maintaining service standards for internal and external customers, and supporting process improvements in logistics and warehousing.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Logistics Management and Supply Chain Management skills to coordinate transportation, distribution, and overall material flow.
Candidates should possess solid Inventory Management skills to monitor stock levels, ensure accuracy of records, and align inventory with operational needs.
Candidates should possess effective Procurement skills to support vendor coordination, purchase planning, and timely availability of materials.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to handle logistics inquiries, manage expectations, and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain roles within manufacturing or distribution environments is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with proficiency in MS Excel and basic ERP or inventory management systems, are preferred.
Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable.
