Role Description This is an on-site internship role for a Coding Teacher based in India. The Coding Teacher will lead interactive coding sessions for school-age learners, guiding them through structured lessons in areas such as game design, app development, web development, and introductory data science concepts. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing lesson plans aligned with iCodejr’s curriculum, delivering clear and engaging instruction, monitoring student progress, and providing constructive feedback. The role involves using age-appropriate teaching methods, supporting learners with varying skill levels, and collaborating with the academic team to continuously improve learning materials and classroom activities.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Teaching and Training skills to deliver coding concepts effectively to students of different age groups.
Candidates should possess solid Lesson Planning and Education skills to design structured, age-appropriate learning experiences.
Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to engage learners, explain complex topics simply, and interact with families when needed.
Basic to intermediate programming knowledge (e.g., Scratch, Python, JavaScript, or similar) and familiarity with STEAM-focused learning environments.
Ability to manage classrooms, encourage participation, and create an inclusive, safe learning atmosphere for all students.
Currently pursuing or completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
Prior tutoring, mentoring, or teaching experience with children or teens is an advantage.
Strong organizational skills, reliability, and willingness to learn and adapt to iCodejr’s teaching methodologies.
