IT application operation specialis

Role Description The IT Application Operation Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for supporting and maintaining the company’s core business applications. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring application performance, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with internal users to resolve incidents and service requests. The specialist will assist with application configuration changes, updates, and testing to ensure stable and secure operation. This role also involves documenting procedures, identifying opportunities to improve business processes through technology, and collaborating with IT and construction teams to align applications with operational needs. The position requires proactive communication, clear documentation, and adherence to company standards for data security and system reliability.
Qualifications
Strong Analytical Skills to diagnose issues, interpret system data, and support problem-solving for application and process improvements.
Experience in Application Support, including monitoring, incident resolution, and coordination with vendors or IT teams.
Background in Information Technology, with familiarity in common enterprise applications, operating systems, and basic networking concepts.
Technical Support capabilities to assist end users, manage tickets, and provide clear guidance on application usage.
Understanding of Business Process concepts to map workflows, identify inefficiencies, and recommend application-driven improvements.
Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage part-time hours effectively, and communicate clearly in written and spoken English.
Experience with construction or project management software, and knowledge of data security and compliance best practices, is beneficial.
