Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Android Framework Developer role based in Bengaluru South. The Android Framework Developer will design, implement, and maintain Android framework components, focusing on performance, reliability, and security for mobile and embedded devices. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, integrate platform features, and resolve complex software issues across the Android stack. Responsibilities include debugging system-level problems, optimizing resource usage, contributing to architectural decisions, and ensuring compatibility across device variants and OS versions. The developer will also write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, create technical documentation, and support integration and validation activities throughout the product lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Android Development and Android Design for building and integrating framework-level features.
Proficiency in Mobile Application Development and working with Mobile Applications on Android platforms.
Solid Software Development skills, including object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
Experience with Android internals such as HAL, services, system APIs, and performance tuning.
Hands-on expertise with Java/Kotlin and C/C++ for Android platform work; familiarity with Android Studio, Gradle, and debugging tools.
Understanding of embedded systems, operating systems concepts, and resource-constrained environments.
Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document designs and implementations.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in automotive, telecom, or other connected device domains is an advantage.
