About the Role
We are looking for a high-energy, target-driven Key Account Manager focused primarily on hunting and bringing incremental business to the platform. This is a new-business acquisition role rather than a traditional account-maintenance role. The person will identify prospects, build a pipeline, pitch our offerings, negotiate commercials, close new business and deliver measurable monthly revenue.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new merchants/accounts through outbound prospecting, market mapping, references, networking and other lead-generation channels.
- Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified prospects and continuously convert prospects into live business.
- Own the complete sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, pitching, negotiation, closure and onboarding.
- Generate incremental business every month and take complete ownership of the revenue brought in.
- Develop strong understanding of the local market, competitor landscape and merchant opportunities.
- Create prospect-wise action plans to achieve monthly business targets.
- Follow up consistently and move opportunities through the sales funnel.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and activation of newly acquired business.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, conversion and revenue reporting.
Identify opportunities for repeat business and upselling after initial acquisition.
Performance Expectations
- The role is heavily performance-driven and focused on incremental/new business generation.
- A strong incentive structure will provide high performers the opportunity to earn significantly above their fixed salary through incentives.
Ideal Candidate
- Strong hunting/new-business sales background.
- Demonstrated history of personally generating incremental revenue.
- Comfortable with cold calling, outbound sales and repeated follow-ups.
- Strong prospecting, negotiation and closing skills.
- Highly target-oriented and motivated by performance-linked earnings.
- Able to build a territory and pipeline from scratch.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Comfortable working with numbers and tracking business performance.
- Experience in F&B, hospitality, lifestyle, beauty, local commerce, advertising, or marketplace businesses is an advantage.
