IT Lead
Reports to: Head of HR, Admin & IT
JOB PURPOSE:
The IT Lead serves as the focal point for the Information Technology function and is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery, operation, security, and continuous improvement of all IT services. The role oversees IT infrastructure, Help Desk operations, networks, servers, business applications, SAP HANA administration, cybersecurity practices, IT procurement, vendor management, and IT assets. The position ensures the availability, integrity, and security of information systems while supporting business objectives through reliable technology services, effective application management, business continuity planning, and compliance with policies and industry best practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Policies & Procedures
▪ Implement department policies and follow the set procedures to achieve the department’s objectives.
IT Operations Management
▪ Act as the primary focal point for all IT activities and services.
▪ Lead and supervise daily IT operations, ensuring availability and performance of IT services.
▪ Manage Help Desk activities and ensure timely resolution of user incidents and service requests.
▪ Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless systems, and internet connectivity.
▪ Manage all server infrastructure, server room facilities, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
▪ Ensure effective administration of computers, laptops, printers, and end-user devices.
▪ Manage relationships with Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to ensure reliable connectivity and service quality.
▪ Oversee IT procurement activities, including technology evaluation, purchasing, and contract administration.
▪ Manage IT asset lifecycle including acquisition, inventory management, maintenance, disposal, and license compliance.
▪ Coordinate and monitor data backup activities and ensure successful recovery testing.
▪ Develop, maintain, and test Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans.
Information Security Management
▪ Implement and enforce Information Security Policy and security standards.
▪ Ensure compliance with cybersecurity best practices and regulatory requirements.
▪ Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
▪ Monitor security incidents and coordinate incident response activities.
▪ Manage vulnerability assessments, patch management, and remediation programs.
▪ Oversee endpoint security, antivirus, EDR, DLP, email security, encryption, and access control solutions.
▪ Ensure secure management of user accounts, privileged access, and authentication controls.
▪ Promote security awareness and cybersecurity best practices among employees.
▪ Support internal and external audits related to information security and IT governance.
▪ Ensure protection of information assets against unauthorized access, disclosure, modification, or loss.
Reports
▪ Prepare reports related to the IT Department’s activities for the Direct Manager.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
▪ Minimum 10-12 years of progressive IT experience.
▪ Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory or team leadership position.
▪ Hands-on experience with SAP HANA administration and enterprise application support.
▪ Experience in IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, vendor management, and Disaster Recovery planning.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION:
▪ Bachelor’s degree in IT or Compute Science or any related field.
▪ Professional certifications are preferred, such as: SAP HANA Administration, ITIL Foundation, CCNA / CCNP, Microsoft Certifications, CISSP, CISM, Security+ (advantage), VMware or Virtualization certifications (advantage).
