Role Description The US Tax Associate (5+ years) is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting tax compliance and planning for clients operating in the United States. Day-to-day tasks include preparing federal, state, and local tax returns, reviewing tax workpapers, and ensuring accurate documentation in line with current tax laws and regulations. The role involves researching tax issues, interpreting tax guidance, and assisting in implementing tax-efficient strategies that align with business objectives. The US Tax Associate will collaborate with internal finance and cross-functional teams, respond to tax inquiries, support audits, and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in US tax legislation. The position requires consistent attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a technology-focused environment.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Tax Compliance and Tax Preparation, with experience handling US federal, state, and local returns.
Solid understanding of Tax Law and practical application of Tax regulations for corporate and/or individual taxpayers.
Foundational to advanced knowledge of Tax and Finance principles, including accounting for income taxes and financial reporting impacts.
Minimum 3 years of relevant US tax experience in public accounting, corporate tax, or a similar professional setting.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field; professional certifications (CPA, EA, or equivalent) are a plus.
Proficiency with tax preparation software and spreadsheet tools; familiarity with automation or analytics tools is beneficial.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote, technology-driven environment.
