Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to design and implement a global HR data platform using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake and Data Factory.
The candidate will work on integrating multiple regional HRIS platforms and heterogeneous data sources into a governed enterprise HR analytics platform, supporting secure data processing, transformation, quality validation and Power BI reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement ingestion pipelines using Microsoft Fabric Data Factory.
Integrate HRIS systems through REST APIs, SFTP, CSV, Excel and secure file-based interfaces.
Build Bronze, Silver and Gold data layers in OneLake/Fabric.
Develop source-specific mapping and transformation logic.
Handle multilingual data, different layouts, date formats, number formats and code translations.
Implement incremental and full-load strategies.
Develop duplicate prevention and reconciliation processes.
Implement error handling, retry and exception/replay mechanisms.
Build data quality and freshness validation.
Develop canonical/global HR data models.
Implement secure handling of confidential HR data.
Work with the security architect to implement least-privilege access.
Support Power BI semantic models and reporting.
Implement monitoring, audit and data lineage.
Support onboarding of additional HRIS systems.

Data Quality & Processing: Data Validation, Data Reconciliation, Duplicate Detection, Error Handling, Retry Mechanisms, Data Mapping, Data Lineage
Security & Governance: Microsoft Entra ID, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Fabric Permissions, OneLake Security, Managed Identities, Azure Key Vault, Least-Privilege Access

5+ years data engineering experience with at least: 2+ years Microsoft Fabric / modern Azure data platform experience and demonstrated experience with:
