Manager -R&D

Jindal Stainless Limited is one of India’s largest and
most respected stainless steel manufacturers. With a strong emphasis on
operational excellence, innovation, and sustainability, we serve diverse
sectors ranging from infrastructure and automotive to consumer durables. We are
seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to join our R&D team in the role of Manager.
Job Purpose:
The position is responsible for
conducting various in-house activities aimed at new product development,
improvement of existing products, and process and quality optimization. The
role involves regular interaction with the Sales team to understand customer
requirements, application needs, and market demands, while providing necessary
technical support. The incumbent will also be responsible for carrying out
feasibility studies for new product requirements and supporting
commercialization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan
and execute in-house activities for new product development.
Drive
product, process, and quality improvement initiatives through systematic
experimentation and analysis.
Coordinate
with Sales and Marketing teams to understand customer requirements and
application-specific needs.
Provide
technical support to customers and internal stakeholders regarding product
performance and applications.
Conduct
feasibility studies for new product opportunities and business
requirements.
Analyze
development and process data and prepare technical reports with actionable
recommendations.
Collaborate
with production, quality, and operations teams for successful
implementation of development projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
Master’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering
Experience:
3-5 years of relevant experience in the Iron & Steel Industry, preferably
in Product Development, R&D, Process Improvement, or Technical Services.
