Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow ITOM / CMDB Developer with strong hands-on expertise in CMDB and IT Operations Management. The role will focus on building, maintaining, and enhancing ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Design, configure, develop, and maintain ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB solutions.
Configure and support Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and related ITOM capabilities.
Implement and maintain CMDB data models, classes, relationships, identification rules, and reconciliation rules.
Configure and troubleshoot Discovery schedules, MID Servers, probes, sensors, and patterns.
Support integrations and data ingestion from infrastructure and monitoring tools.
Develop and maintain business rules, scripts, flows, UI policies, and other platform components as required.
Perform CMDB health checks and support data quality, completeness, compliance, and correctness initiatives.
Investigate and resolve CMDB, Discovery, Service Mapping, and integration issues.
Work with infrastructure, application, and operations teams to understand requirements and implement solutions.
Perform testing, deployment, documentation, and knowledge transfer.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong hands-on experience in ServiceNow ITOM and CMDB.
Good knowledge of Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and MID Server concepts.
Strong understanding of CMDB architecture, CIs, relationships, identification and reconciliation.
Experience with ServiceNow scripting and configuration.
Experience with REST/SOAP integrations and external monitoring/infrastructure tools.
Knowledge of CMDB Health and data quality management.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
