Senior SAP Application Consultant, Manufacturing, Public Cloud

As a Senior SAP Business Process Consultant, Public Cloud, you will leverage your SAP functional expertise and end-to-end implementation experience to guide clients through business transformation initiatives. You will optimize business processes, lead solution design, and own your assigned functional workstream, ensuring deliverables, timelines, and project commitments are successfully achieved. Working directly with customer stakeholders, you will facilitate business process workshops, translate business requirements into SAP solutions, and partner with our global delivery teams responsible for system configuration and technical development. Success in this role requires exceptional client-facing communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships, clearly communicate complex business and SAP concepts, and confidently guide customer decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is ideal for experienced SAP consultants who have developed deep expertise within a functional SAP module (such as Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement, Manufacturing, Sales, Warehouse Management, or similar) and are ready to focus on strategic consulting, business process optimization, and client advisory work rather than day-to-day system configuration. Domestic travel to client sites of up to 100% may be required based on project and client needs.
What You'll Do
Client Consulting
Serve as a trusted advisor throughout the SAP implementation lifecycle.
Lead fit-to-standard workshops to demonstrate S/4HANA Public Cloud best practices, understand business objectives, challenges, and future-state requirements.
Analyze current business processes and recommend improvements aligned with SAP best practices.
Translate business requirements into functional solution designs for offshore implementation teams.
Act as the primary Subject Matter Expert for public cloud best practices, extensibility, and business process standardization, providing oversight and advisory support on all aspects within your workstream.
Guide clients through solution decisions while balancing business needs with SAP standard functionality.
Advocate for fit-to-standard solutions by recommending the simplest, most sustainable SAP approach that delivers business value, maximizes customer ROI, and enables future SAP innovation with minimal customization.
Validate functional designs, configuration, and testing to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
Collaborate across functional workstreams to ensure seamless end-to-end business process integration.
Contribute to a One Team culture by partnering across functional and technical teams, recognizing that project success is measured by overall team outcomes—not just individual workstream deliverables.
Build lasting client relationships through exceptional communication and consultative leadership.
Project Leadership
Lead your functional workstream through all phases of the SAP Activate methodology.
Coordinate activities with offshore functional and technical consultants.
Review configuration, testing, and deliverables for quality and completeness.
Partner with Project Managers to manage scope, timelines, risks, and dependencies.
Support issue resolution while maintaining a positive client experience.
Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of your functional workstream by proactively managing project plans, schedules, milestones, risks, blockers, capacity constraints, and technical issues. Embrace established project management tools, technologies, and delivery processes to drive execution, ensure accountability, and deliver high-quality outcomes on time.
Practice Development
Mentor Associate and Application Consultants.
Contribute to implementation methodologies, best practices, and reusable assets.
Participate in solution demonstrations, discovery workshops, and presales activities.
Continue expanding your SAP, industry, and consulting expertise.
Required Qualifications
What We're Looking For
5+ years of SAP consulting experience with expertise in one or more SAP functional modules.
Proven experience across multiple full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations from Discovery through Go-Live and Hypercare.
Hands-on SAP functional configuration experience using Central Business Configuration (CBC) and SAP Fiori applications with the ability to advise clients on SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud standard capabilities, fit-to-standard principles, and industry best practices.
Strong understanding of integrated business processes across SAP.
Experience leading client workshops and business process design sessions.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional solution designs for distributed delivery teams.
Experience collaborating with offshore delivery organizations.
Exceptional communication, facilitation, and executive presentation skills.
Strong analytical and business process improvement capabilities.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
Commitment to continuous technical and professional development, including maintaining current SAP certifications and expanding functional expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
SAP Activate methodology experience.
Experience working in and maintaining SAP Cloud ALM (Application Lifecycle Management).
Experience leading functional workstreams or small project teams.
SAP certification(s) preferred.

The annual base compensation range for this role will be $126,696 - $191,271. The exact compensation at which this job is filled will be determined by a number of factors including but not limited to organizational needs and the qualified candidate’s skill set, certifications, and experience.
