Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for light fixtures based on inputs from the CTO, Engineering Managers, the Design Manager, the Product & Costing Manager or the production manager.
Ensure all drawings meet design specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Check designs for ease of fabrication, assembly and cost-effective production, and flag issues to the Engineering team.
Update and revise drawings based on engineering changes, customer feedback and manufacturing requirements.
Assist in prototype fabrication and testing.
Maintain drawing records, technical specifications and revision history, so production always works from the latest version.
Skills & Requirements
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
Understanding of fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
Ability to follow engineering instructions and modify designs accordingly.
Educational Qualification
Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant field.
1.5 – 3 years’ Experience in drafting or mechanical design within the lighting or manufacturing industry.
