About the Role
The University of Colorado Denver (CU Denver) is establishing its Hyderabad India Campus. We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to head the campus admissions and enrollment functions. This pivotal role will shape recruitment strategy, build trusted relationships across India, and create a transparent, inclusive, and student-centered admissions experience for programmes delivered through the Hyderabad campus in collaboration with CU Denver.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and execute a comprehensive admissions and enrollment strategy aligned with the Hyderabad Campus academic portfolio, launch and growth plans, annual intake targets, market priorities, and student-access objectives.
•Lead and manage the Admissions and Outreach team, establishing clear performance expectations, enrollment goals, service standards, and accountability for results.
•Oversee the full prospective-student journey from inquiry and application through application review, admission decision, offer acceptance, confirmed enrollment, and handoff to the Registrar and student-support teams.
•Ensure that admissions decisions are timely, fair, transparent, and consistently based on approved program requirements and admissions standards.
•Establish documented processes for application review, credential verification, admission decisions, conditional admission, exceptions, appeals, and enrollment confirmation.
•Collaborate with marketing and outreach teams to design campaigns that attract high-quality applicants.
•Collaborate with the marketing and outreach teams to build strong relationships with schools, colleges, universities, coaching and test-preparation networks, education consultants, employers, and community stakeholders across India, with particular depth in Telangana and southern India.
•Ensure compliance with university policies and regulatory requirements.
•Analyze admissions data to inform decision-making and improve conversion rates.
•Ensure that applicant and enrollment data are accurate, complete, appropriately protected, and maintained in approved systems for campus operations and CU Denver institutional reporting.
•Ensure compliance with applicable Indian requirements, Hyderabad Campus policies, CU Denver requirements applicable to the campus, student privacy standards, and ethical recruitment and admissions practices.
•Coordinate with CU Denver regarding program requirements, admissions standards, data definitions, institutional reporting, public representations, and proposed changes that could affect CU Denver programs or credentials.
•Collaborate with the marketing and outreach teams to identify high-potential prospects and candidates, and conduct targeted outreach to drive effective students enrollment outcomes. Targeted outreach may include representing CU Denver and the Hyderabad India Campus at education fairs, school and counsellor forums, employer events, and other high-value outreach platforms in India and, where relevant, internationally.
Qualifications & Experience
•Master’s degree in management, or a related field.
•Minimum 10-15 years of experience in student admissions, preferably in premium higher education institutions.
•Proven leadership experience with a track record of driving results.
•Extensive experience in student recruitment and admissions across India, with strong understanding of regional markets, international higher education, and the expectations of students and families considering a U.S.-affiliated campus in India.
•Strong network among school counselors, coaching centers, and digital education platforms.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
•Experience with CRM and admissions management systems is a plus.
