Position Summary
bp's M&C Americas business serves millions of customers across a diverse network of retail, convenience, travel center, fleet and mobility operations. Delivering products safely, reliably and efficiently across multiple channels and markets requires a resilient, customer-focused supply chain that can support both current operations and future growth. As Head of Supply Chain, you will set the strategic direction and lead the end-to-end performance of the M&C Americas supply chain. You will be accountable for supply chain strategy, planning, inventory, replenishment, logistics and network performance, ensuring the business delivers strong customer outcomes while optimizing cost, service, cash and operational efficiency. You will build the capabilities, partnerships and operating models needed to support a dynamic and evolving business environment. This is a highly visible leadership role with accountability for significant third-party relationships, logistics spend and supply chain performance across the region. You will partner closely with Trading, Retail Operations, Mobility & Convenience leadership, Technology, Procurement and key external partners to translate business strategy into scalable supply chain solutions that create sustainable value and competitive advantage.
You will lead the US M&C Americas Supply Chain team and work closely with colleagues across convenience Trading, Retail Operations, Technology, Finance, Procurement, Safety and other enabling functions. You will also build strong senior relationships with third-party logistics providers and strategic suppliers. The team operates in a fast-moving retail environment where collaboration, commercial challenge and reliable execution matter. You will help create an inclusive, high-accountability culture that combines strong operational discipline with continuous improvement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Set and deliver the multi-year US convenience supply chain strategy, aligned with the US trading plan, customer proposition and growth priorities.
Create clear governance, performance standards and decision rights across planning, forecasting, replenishment, inventory and logistics.
Deliver sustained improvements in product availability, safety, service, waste, working capital and cost-to-serve, with transparent measures and corrective actions.
Lead end-to-end supply chain resilience and risk management, ensuring the business can respond effectively to demand shifts, supplier disruption and operational constraints.
Own senior commercial relationships with third-party logistics providers and strategic suppliers, including contract strategy, negotiations, performance and value delivery.
Shape investment priorities and technology-enabled improvements that strengthen forecasting, replenishment, data visibility and store execution.
Influence commercial and operational choices by providing clear insight into customer, inventory, capacity, service and cost trade-offs.
Qualifications
Substantial senior supply chain leadership experience in retail or another complex, high-volume consumer environment.
Demonstrated accountability for an end-to-end supply chain covering forecasting, replenishment, inventory management, logistics and operational performance.
A strong record of developing supply chain strategy and converting it into measurable commercial and operational outcomes.
Experience leading material third-party logistics contracts, strategic suppliers, commercial negotiations and performance governance.
Strong commercial and financial judgement, including the ability to manage significant expenditure and make informed trade-offs across service, cost, cash and waste.
Experience leading transformation or technology-enabled change across supply chain processes, systems or operating models.
Proven people leadership, including building capability, developing successors and leading through change and ambiguity.
