Vice President of Strategic Finance

Role Description The Vice President of Strategic Finance at Quar Agency is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading financial planning, analysis, and long-term strategic forecasting. This role oversees the development and implementation of financial models, budgets, and projections to guide executive decision-making and organizational growth. The VP partners with cross-functional leaders to evaluate business initiatives, assess financial risks and opportunities, and ensure alignment with overall company strategy. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting financial statements, managing financial reporting processes, and preparing executive-level presentations and dashboards. This position also leads and mentors finance team members, implements process improvements, and supports capital allocation, pricing, and investment decisions.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience building budgets, forecasts, and strategic financial models.
Proficiency in financial statements and financial reporting, with the ability to interpret and communicate results to senior stakeholders.
Advanced analytical skills, including data analysis, scenario modeling, and the ability to draw actionable insights from complex information.
Demonstrated leadership experience managing finance teams or projects in a high-growth or dynamic environment.
Experience in strategic planning, corporate finance, or FP&A, preferably in a professional services or agency setting.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across remote and distributed teams.
High proficiency with financial and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, BI platforms, ERP or financial systems).
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., MBA, CFA, CPA) is beneficial.
