About the Opportunity:
The SENIOR SECURITY ENGINEER, PLATFORM SECURITY is responsible for securing the organization's cloud, compute, and network infrastructure across various business units. This role involves developing and evolving cloud security policies and guardrails, automating detection and remediation of security risks, and driving cloud security strategy. The position ensures secure cloud practices are integrated and maintained, directly impacting the organization's overall security posture and risk management.
Responsibilities:
Architect and evolve cloud security guardrails including SCPs, organization policies, and IAM controls.
Develop automation tools to discover, measure, and contextualize security issues.
Manage the cloud security exception lifecycle with tooling and processes.
Collaborate with platform teams to eliminate cloud security risks.
Deliver cloud security assurance functions balancing remediation and developer efficiency.
Build data pipelines and dashboards for risk-based prioritization and posture tracking.
Respond to and triage cloud security alerts and support on-call rotations.
Produce scalable, maintainable software for multi-cloud environments.
Incorporate AI-assisted development tools in workflows.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years as a software or security engineer.
At least 4 years securing AWS and/or GCP infrastructure at scale.
Expertise with Infrastructure-as-Code, especially Terraform and cloud guardrails.
Experience with cloud security posture management tools and sensitive data management.
Strong understanding of AWS and GCP IAM policies and organizational security controls.
Proven ability in securing complex, multi-account/multi-project cloud environments.
Ability to deliver complex projects from concept to launch.
Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in production.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
