About the Role
As a Consultant Lead, you will serve as a seasoned individual contributor and subject matter expert (SME) supporting complex debit and payment processing initiatives. You will contribute to large-scale projects, drive continuous improvement efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that address client challenges and business objectives. This role requires a self-starter with expert-level judgment, as well as stakeholder management, risk assessment, and problem-solving capabilities to guide critical initiatives from strategy through execution.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary SME for debit and payment processing initiatives, providing consultative guidance on transaction processing, payment operations, and industry best practices.
Contribute to complex client engagements and transformation programs, driving strategy, execution, risk management, and successful business outcomes.
Implement innovative payment solutions that enhance performance, scalability, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
Build trusted relationships with clients, product, technology, and business teams to influence decisions and deliver strategic results.
Mentor team members and promote consulting excellence through coaching, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant professional experience.
At least 7 years of experience in debit card processing, payment processing, or payments technology within the fintech industry.
Deep knowledge of payment transaction lifecycles, including authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, network operations, and payment processing platforms.
Proven experience serving as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on complex payments initiatives, platform modernization efforts, or business transformation programs.
Strong consulting, stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and drive results with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting platform modernization, technology transformation, or complex migration initiatives.
Professional certifications in project management, business analysis, agile delivery, or related disciplines.
Expertise in consulting, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration within complex business environments.
