Role Description The Senior Project Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing complex investment and real estate projects from inception through execution. This position leads project planning, structuring, and implementation across public equity, REIT, and residential real estate initiatives, ensuring alignment with firm strategy and return objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing cross-functional teams, coordinating with external partners and advisors, monitoring project timelines and budgets, and proactively mitigating risks. The Senior Project Director will prepare and review investment memos, project reports, and performance updates for internal stakeholders and the family office, while driving continuous improvement in project management processes and governance. This role also contributes to pipeline development, supports due diligence on new opportunities, and ensures regulatory and compliance standards are consistently met.
Qualifications
Strong project and program management skills, including planning, execution oversight, budgeting, and risk management for multi-stakeholder investment or real estate projects.
Investment analysis and financial skills, such as financial modeling, valuation, portfolio performance review, and understanding of public equities, REITs, or real estate development economics.
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, including the ability to synthesize complex information, prioritize initiatives, and make data-informed decisions under uncertainty.
Stakeholder management and communication skills, including clear written and verbal communication, negotiation, and the ability to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, partners, and external advisors.
Operational and organizational skills, such as process design, documentation, governance implementation, and use of project management tools and dashboards.
Relevant experience in investment management, real estate, consulting, or related fields, with a track record of leading large or complex projects to successful completion.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (MBA, CFA, or equivalent) is advantageous.
Comfort working in a remote, results-driven environment, with high personal accountability, integrity, and adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
