Position Overview
The Vice President of Accounting is responsible for the company's overall accounting strategy, organizational structure, financial reporting, and the implementation of accounting management systems. The role encompasses the establishment of accounting systems, financial reporting, general ledger management, financial accounting, team building, financial data management, and international accounting operations.
The Vice President of Accounting must ensure the efficient operation of all accounting functions, continuously improve the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reporting, strengthen internal controls and financial management, and enhance the company's capabilities regarding financial transparency, accounting compliance, and overall financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Strategy and Operations Management
Formulate and implement the company's medium- to long-term accounting management strategy and financial reporting plans;
Establish and continuously optimize the company-wide accounting management system;
Translate corporate strategic goals into specific accounting management plans and execution measures;
Optimize the accounting organizational structure, functional division of duties, and management models;
Ensure that all accounting functions operate in a compliant, efficient, and effective manner.
2. Financial Reporting and Accounting Management
Develop and refine domestic and international financial reporting and accounting management policies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information;
Supervise and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting processes;
Review financial statements, accounting records, and related financial disclosure documents;
Manage the general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and other core accounting operations;
Analyze financial data, accounting records, and key financial indicators;
Continuously improve the quality of financial reporting, the efficiency of accounting operations, and the reliability of financial information.
3. Accounting Team and Process Management
Establish and refine the accounting team management system and talent development plans;
Lead the recruitment, management, training, and performance development of the accounting team;
Build efficient processes for accounting operations, financial closing, and reporting management;
Optimize collaborative relationships with finance, tax, audit, and other relevant departments;
Establish effective systems for accounting quality control and performance management;
Lead the accounting team in executing corporate accounting policies and key financial management initiatives. 4. Financial Accounting and Reporting Management
Establish accounting objectives, performance indicators, and financial reporting management systems;
Formulate plans for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing and financial reporting;
Analyze accounting data, financial records, and key performance indicators (KPIs);
Optimize accounting processes, account structures, and the allocation of financial resources;
Enhance the efficiency of financial closing, data accuracy, reporting timeliness, and the quality of accounting work;
Drive continuous improvement in overall accounting operational efficiency, financial information quality, and internal management standards.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration and Business Support
Collaborate with finance, tax, audit, legal, operations, human resources, and other departments;
Establish efficient cross-functional accounting collaboration workflows;
Ensure accounting policies align with the company's overall business strategy;
Work with internal teams to continuously optimize financial processes, accounting systems, and reporting mechanisms based on business development needs;
Drive the successful implementation of key financial projects, accounting system enhancements, and major reporting initiatives;
Provide accounting management and professional support for new business expansion, organizational restructuring, and international business development.
6. Risk and Compliance Management
Identify potential risks in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls;
Establish mechanisms for monitoring, early warning, and emergency management regarding accounting risks;
Ensure accounting practices and financial reporting comply with relevant laws, regulations, accounting standards, and industry norms;
Strengthen account management, financial record management, and internal accounting controls;
Standardize accounting workflows, financial approval processes, and reporting procedures;
Ensure sustainable, stable, and compliant operations for the company's accounting activities. Qualifications
18–20 years of experience in accounting management, financial reporting, financial accounting, or related fields;
Over 8 years of experience in senior management roles at the director level or above;
Leadership experience in accounting management within large enterprises or multinational corporations;
Bachelor’s degree or higher; majors in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields preferred;
Experience with international accounting, consolidated financial reporting, or cross-border financial management is a plus;
Established professional networks in financial reporting, auditing, taxation, and accounting management;
Exceptional capabilities in accounting strategic planning, financial reporting management, team leadership, and execution;
Outstanding analytical skills, professional judgment, and proficiency in financial management and accounting decision-making;
Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
