We’re looking for a Dual-Certified PMHNP/ FNP or Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner licensed in California to join our clinical team part-time— to support partner treatment centers across the state. Candidates certified solely as a PMHNP or FNP are also encouraged to apply.
About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Dual-Certified PMHNP/ FNP or Primary Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to support patients at a behavioral health treatment facility. This role combines remote patient care via our telehealth platform and delivering consistent psychiatric support for individuals receiving substance use treatment and behavioral health services.
This candidate is comfortable working in a substance use disorder and mental health treatment environment, collaborating with clinical staff, and providing medication management and psychiatric evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct psychiatric evaluations and/ or history & physical assessments for patients receiving mental health and/ or substance use treatment
Provide medication management, including MAT protocols when appropriate
Develop and oversee treatment plans in collaboration with the clinical and medical team
Perform follow-up visits and medication adjustments
Participate in telehealth coverage for remote consultations
Provide on-call psychiatric support if scheduled
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and medical providers to support patient recovery
Qualifications
Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) & Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Active California NP license and prescriptive authority
DEA registration required
Experience in addiction medicine, detox, or behavioral health
Ability to work via telehealth
Strong clinical judgment and team collaboration skills
Previous payor credentialing
Schedule
Flexible Part-time (1099)
Potential additional compensation for nights and weekends
