Senior Software Engineer - 3+ Years

Position Overview
Techdome develops mission-critical platforms in healthcare and financial services, where accuracy, security, and uptime are non-negotiable. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and sustain production-grade applications using Node.js, React, MongoDB, and TypeScript, and to take lasting accountability for their performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the full lifecycle of features, from design through deployment and ongoing maintenance
Engineer secure, scalable, and well-tested APIs and applications
Perform code reviews and uphold engineering standards across the team
Resolve production incidents directly and perform root-cause analysis
Participate in architectural planning and technical decision-making
Coach and mentor engineers within the team
Collaborate with product, design, QA, and DevOps, and work with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, containerization, and observability tools
Minimum Qualifications
At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience
Demonstrated proficiency in Node.js, React, MongoDB, and JavaScript/TypeScript
Working knowledge of REST API design, database architecture, authentication and authorization, testing, and application security
Proven experience operating production applications at scale
Practical experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure
Familiarity with CI/CD, Git, Docker, and production monitoring and debugging
Experience in a regulated industry such as healthcare, fintech, banking, payments, or insurance
Strong initiative and a record of taking ownership
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of system design, distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code
Familiarity with HIPAA/PHI, PCI-DSS, or payment platforms (Stripe, Braintree, Adyen)
Experience in consulting or product studios supporting multiple clients and products
Experience with AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot)
