About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Final Form Works is looking for a creative intern interested in video editing, social media, branding, content strategy, and digital marketing.
I design and build furniture and woodworking projects while filming the process. You’ll help turn that footage into polished YouTube and social content and help manage the content side of the Final Form Works brand. I’ll provide the footage, project context, overall strategy, and creative direction. You’ll have meaningful ownership over editing, publishing, and helping determine how each project gets turned into content.
Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain Final Form Works social media content
• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Edit long-form woodworking/build videos for YouTube
• Create hooks, captions, titles, thumbnails, and post copy
• Schedule and publish content according to an agreed-upon calendar
• Brainstorm content around current and upcoming builds
• Review analytics and identify what content performs well
• Help develop a consistent and recognizable Final Form Works brand
You’ll get hands-on experience across the full content lifecycle, including:
• Long-form and short-form video editing
• Organic social media growth
• YouTube/TikTok SEO and discoverability
• Thumbnail, title, and hook strategy
• Content analytics and experimentation
• Brand identity and positioning
• Multi-platform content strategy
This is real published work with visible impact.
Benefits
By the end of the internship, you’ll have work you can use to strengthen your portfolio and résumé, including:
• Published videos and social content
• Permission to showcase your published Final Form Works work in your portfolio
• A letter of recommendation based on your performance
• LinkedIn and résumé recommendations
• Mentorship and regular creative feedback
• Measurable accomplishments such as views, engagement, follower growth, or improved content performance
• The ability to use me as a professional reference following successful completion of the internship
Qualifications
This is a good fit for a student or early-career creative interested in video production, marketing, advertising, communications, design, social media, digital media, or entrepreneurship.
You should:
• Have good creative instincts and understand what makes online content engaging
• Be technologically savvy and already have some experience editing video and using social media — personal projects/accounts count
• Be comfortable working independently once we agree on a direction
• Communicate reliably and meet agreed-upon deadlines
• Be comfortable experimenting and learning new tools
Experience with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, Photoshop, Canva, or similar tools is preferred.
Interest in woodworking, furniture, DIY, interior design, architecture, or maker content is a bonus.
Schedule & Commitment
This is a 12-week internship with an expected commitment of approximately 10–15 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and can be structured around school or another job. Most work can be completed remotely and asynchronously. Rather than fixed working hours, we’ll agree on a reasonable workload, content schedule, and deadlines.
How to Apply
Send a short introduction with:
• Who you are and what you're studying or working toward
• What part of the internship interests you most
• Any relevant editing, social media, marketing, or design experience
• Links to examples of your work (highly encouraged)
You do not need a professional portfolio. Personal TikToks, YouTube videos, social accounts, school projects, edits, graphics, or other creative work are welcome.
Internship Terms
This is an unpaid, learning-focused internship intended to provide practical experience, published portfolio work, and professional development. Academic credit can be supported where applicable.
Selected interns will sign a short written internship agreement covering internship expectations, confidentiality, intellectual-property ownership, portfolio rights, account access, and termination.
