MEP Specialist

Role Description The MEP Specialist role is a part-time, remote position responsible for supporting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing aspects of projects linked to the firm’s facilities and client-related initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing and coordinating MEP designs, ensuring alignment with project specifications, and identifying any clashes or inconsistencies. The specialist will use Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external consultants, helping to optimize building systems and infrastructure. Additional responsibilities may include preparing technical documentation, advising on plumbing design solutions, and contributing to standards and best practices for MEP coordination.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) knowledge and practical experience in MEP Coordination.
Candidates should possess skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) for reviewing, modeling, and coordinating building systems.
Candidates should possess competencies in Plumbing and Plumbing Design, including layout, sizing, and compliance with applicable codes.
Candidates should possess the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards, with attention to detail.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams in a remote environment.
Relevant academic background in mechanical engineering, building services engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Experience with industry-standard MEP and BIM software (such as Revit or similar tools) is beneficial.
