Primary Responsibilities:Analyze structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and business insightsDevelop and deploy predictive, classification, clustering, and optimization modelsApply machine learning, statistical analysis, and AI techniques to solve business problemsIdentify hidden patterns and relationships within complex datasetsSupport experimentation, hypothesis testing, and model validation activitiesPartner with business, operations, and technology teams to define analytical requirements and solutionsTranslate business challenges into data science use cases and analytical frameworksGenerate insights and recommendations that improve operational performance and business outcomesDevelop reusable analytical assets, models, and reporting frameworksUtilize AI/ML techniques including predictive analytics, anomaly detection, recommendation systems, NLP, and generative AI where appropriateMonitor and evaluate model performance and recommend enhancementsPresent analytical findings and business insights to stakeholdersContribute to data science best practices and continuous improvement initiativesYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:3+ years of experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, AI, or Advanced AnalyticsExperience working with large-scale datasetsExperience with ML frameworks such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, XGBoost, or equivalentKnowledge of data visualization and analytical storytellingProficiency in Python, SQL, R, or similar analytical languagesProven solid foundation in statistics, predictive modeling, and machine learningProven solid problem-solving and communication skills Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, or related technologiesExperience building predictive or decision intelligence solutionsExperience with anomaly detection, recommendation engines, or intelligent automation solutionsExperience working in large enterprise environmentsFamiliarity with cloud-based analytics platforms *All employees working remotely will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy.Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
