Role Description The Cinematographer will be responsible for planning, shooting, and visually crafting wedding films that align with the creative direction of Weddingstorytailor. Day-to-day tasks include operating cameras and related equipment, setting up and adjusting lighting, coordinating with the photography and production teams, and capturing key moments throughout wedding events. The role involves preparing shot lists, scouting locations, ensuring technical readiness, and maintaining consistent visual quality and style. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, requiring regular work at wedding venues and related locations.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Camera Operation and Cinematography for event and wedding environments.
Experience in Video Production and Film Production, including planning and execution of shoots.
Proficiency in configuring and controlling Lighting setups for indoor and outdoor events.
Knowledge of basic video editing workflows and file management is beneficial.
Ability to work long, irregular hours, including weekends and holidays, as weddings require.
Attention to detail, creative visual sense, and the ability to follow and enhance a creative brief.
Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with clients and team members.
Prior experience in wedding cinematography or event videography is an advantage.
Familiarity with professional camera systems, lenses, gimbals, and audio recording equipment.
Relevant training or education in film, media, or visual communication is preferred but not mandatory.
