Enterprise Systems Architect

Role Description The Enterprise Systems Architect will design, document, and evolve the enterprise technology architecture that supports Corporate News Den Africa’s digital products and internal operations. This part-time, remote role involves defining system architectures, collaborating with software development and operations teams, and ensuring that systems are scalable, secure, and efficiently integrated. Day-to-day tasks include evaluating technical requirements, creating architectural diagrams, reviewing system designs, guiding integration efforts between platforms, and recommending improvements to existing systems and workflows. The Enterprise Systems Architect will also help establish standards, best practices, and governance for technology solutions, while aligning architectural decisions with business goals and long-term growth.
Qualifications
Strong skills in System Architecture and Systems Design to create scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions.
Experience in Software Development to collaborate effectively with engineering teams and validate architectural decisions.
Background in Systems Engineering to manage complex, interconnected systems and ensure reliability and performance.
Proficiency in Integration to connect platforms, services, and data flows across the organization.
Relevant experience with cloud-based infrastructures, APIs, and microservices or modular system designs.
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and architectural roadmaps.
Effective communication skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in media, publishing, or data-driven digital platforms is an advantage.
