Senior Technical Enginee

Role Description The Senior Technical Engineer role is a part-time remote position responsible for the technical stability and scalability of MoMo platforms and related services. On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Technical Engineer analyzes system performance, troubleshoots complex issues, and implements improvements to ensure high availability and security. The role includes designing and reviewing technical architectures, collaborating with product and operations teams on new features, and supporting integrations with external systems and APIs. The Senior Technical Engineer documents technical solutions, participates in code or configuration reviews, and contributes to automation and monitoring practices. This role requires proactive communication with cross-functional stakeholders and adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong background in software engineering or systems engineering, with experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, high-availability platforms.
Proficiency in relevant programming or scripting languages (such as Java, Python, or similar), and experience working with APIs and microservices-based architectures.
Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, including containerization, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and automation tools.
Knowledge of security best practices, data protection, and compliance requirements related to financial services or mobile money platforms.
Experience with databases and data management (relational and/or NoSQL), including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues and provide clear, actionable solutions.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in remote, cross-functional teams and document technical work clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
Experience in fintech, telecommunications, or digital financial services is highly beneficial.
Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies and industry trends.
