Business Systems Analyst

Role Description This part-time remote Business Systems Analyst role focuses on understanding business processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating needs into clear system requirements. The Business Systems Analyst will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, analyze existing systems and workflows, and recommend practical solutions that align with organizational goals. Day-to-day tasks include conducting detailed systems and business analysis, preparing functional specifications, supporting testing and validation of new or enhanced features, and creating clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences. The role also involves participating in virtual meetings, providing ongoing support for implemented solutions, and ensuring that changes are effectively communicated and adopted.
Qualifications
Strong business-focused skills, including Business Systems Analysis, Business Analysis, and defining Business Requirements.
Technical and process-oriented skills in Systems Analysis to assess, model, and improve system and workflow performance.
Robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, identify trends, and propose evidence-based recommendations.
Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience using requirement management, documentation, and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, or similar).
Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in an academic, educational technology, or knowledge-focused organization is beneficial.
