Founding Advisory Board Member | Regenerative Medicine & Life Sciences
UAE | International | Remote | Voluntary, unpaid advisory position
Founding contribution: £2,500
About The Repair Project
The Repair Project is a new international initiative focused on helping credible regenerative medicine innovations move from scientific research towards safe, evidence-based and clinically meaningful applications.
As regenerative medicine advances, important questions remain about scientific validation, regulation, standardisation, clinical adoption and patient safety.
The Repair Project aims to bring together scientists, clinicians, regulators, industry leaders and patient representatives to address these challenges and support responsible progress.
We are now establishing our Founding Advisory Board and particularly welcome applications from senior professionals within the UAE's growing biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, investment and life-sciences communities.
Founded by Dr Shara Cohen
The Repair Project was founded by Dr Shara Cohen, a scientist, entrepreneur and organisational founder with experience establishing and developing businesses and organisations across science and healthcare.
Her work focuses on the systems surrounding science and healthcare, including how organisations, regulation, scientific evidence and collaboration influence outcomes.
The Repair Project is her newest initiative and is at an early stage of development.
We are looking for people who want to help build an organisation rather than simply join an established board.
Who we are looking for
We welcome experienced professionals with expertise in:
Regenerative medicine, stem cells and advanced therapies
Biotechnology, pharmaceuticals and life sciences
Clinical research and translational medicine
Healthcare innovation and medical technology
Regulation, quality, standards and patient safety
Healthcare governance and organisational strategy
Investment, finance and commercialisation
International partnerships and business development
Patient advocacy and healthcare policy
We are particularly interested in individuals who can bring experience of healthcare innovation, international collaboration and the development of emerging scientific and medical sectors.
The advisory role
Founding Advisory Board Members will help shape The Repair Project from its earliest stages.
Responsibilities may include contributing specialist expertise, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities and risks, advising on organisational development and supporting international partnerships.
We want a board that brings together different perspectives from science, medicine, regulation, business and patient experience.
Voluntary position and founding contribution
This is a voluntary, unpaid advisory position, not an employment opportunity.
Founding Advisory Board Members are expected to make a £2,500 founding contribution towards the early development of The Repair Project.
Contributions will support organisational infrastructure, scientific engagement, educational activities, partnerships and programme development.
Appointments are based on professional expertise, experience and the contribution an individual can make to the organisation. Financial contributions do not confer scientific influence, editorial control or endorsement of any particular scientific position.
Why join at the beginning?
The Repair Project is still being developed, and Founding Advisory Board Members will have an opportunity to help shape its priorities, direction and international relationships.
Our ambition is to create clearer pathways between scientific innovation, validation, regulation, standards and responsible clinical application.
We are looking for experienced people who want to contribute to that process and help establish an organisation with a long-term international purpose.
The Repair Project: From innovation to standards. From standards to trust. From trust to patient impact.
