About The Role
We are seeking dedicated and experienced Software and DevOps engineers to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas. As a Senior Engineer at Arm, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the engineering experience by owning the end-to-end delivery of critical platform services. Your responsibilities will span requirements gathering, planning, implementation, and operational support, including participation in high-impact incident response on a paid on-call basis. In this role, you will work closely with the Engineering Platform Services teams, supporting the Cloudbees CI environment used across the company. Your expertise will contribute to developing and maintaining scalable, reliable, and efficient CI/CD pipelines, cloud-based services, and infrastructure automation, ultimately enabling Arm’s engineers to innovate faster and more effectively.
Qualifications
4 to 8 years of professional experience in DevOps or related fields
Proven background in software development and build processes
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Groovy, Java, Golang, C, or C++
Experience with Cloudbees CI or Jenkins Pipelines
Hands-on experience with containerization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and ArgoCD
Knowledge of Linux-based infrastructure build, provisioning, and maintenance
Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, test, and deployment processes
Create and optimize cloud-based services and infrastructure to support engineering workflows
Implement virtualization and container orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and related tools
Collaborate with engineering teams to improve developer experience and operational efficiency
Participate in incident management, providing rapid response and resolution for production issues
Develop automation scripts and tools to enable self-service infrastructure access and management
Support infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and maintenance in Linux environments
Contribute to the continuous improvement of platform reliability, scalability, and security
Stay updated with emerging technologies and incorporate best practices into existing systems
