Role Description The Video Editor role at edit is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Video Editor will be responsible for assembling raw footage, organizing project files, and editing video content for marketing campaigns, social media, corporate communications, and other formats. Day-to-day tasks include trimming and sequencing clips, adding transitions, sound, graphics, and motion elements, and performing basic color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency. The role involves close collaboration with directors, producers, and designers to interpret briefs, refine narratives, and deliver polished content aligned with brand guidelines. The Video Editor will also manage export settings, file formats, and delivery timelines, while maintaining an organized archive of projects.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production, including assembling footage, sequencing, and pacing.
Ability in Video Color Grading to ensure consistent look, mood, and visual quality across projects.
Proficiency in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, overlays, and visual elements.
Experience with industry-standard editing and post-production software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro).
Solid understanding of video formats, codecs, aspect ratios, and export settings for various platforms.
Strong storytelling sense, attention to detail, and ability to follow brand and style guidelines.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional creative teams on-site.
Relevant education or training in film, media, communication, or related fields; portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work is required.
