Senior Health & Safety Specialis

Role Description The Senior Health & Safety Specialist is a part-time, remote role responsible for shaping and managing health and safety initiatives that align with Thoughts Daily’s mission. Day-to-day tasks include assessing health and safety risks in digital and workplace-related content, developing guidelines on occupational health and workplace safety, and reviewing materials for accuracy and compliance with best practices. The specialist will design and update safety training frameworks, provide expert input on Environment Health and Safety (EHS) topics, and collaborate with content creators to ensure messaging is clear, responsible, and evidence-based. This role also involves monitoring emerging health and safety trends, advising on policy updates, and supporting internal team awareness and training.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, including risk assessment and regulatory best practices.
Candidates should possess skills in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety, with the ability to develop practical guidelines and recommendations.
Candidates should possess experience in Safety Training, including designing training materials, facilitating sessions, and evaluating effectiveness.
Relevant qualifications such as a degree in occupational health, safety management, environmental health, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) are beneficial.
Ability to communicate complex health and safety concepts clearly in written form, with strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Experience working in a remote, cross-functional environment, with strong time management, self-organization, and collaboration skills.
Familiarity with digital or content-driven organizations and an interest in wellbeing, personal development, or educational content is an advantage.
