Role Description The Traffic Manager is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations and ensuring that vehicles, routes, and schedules are managed efficiently. This full-time, on-site role in Bikaner includes planning and allocating loads, coordinating dispatch activities, monitoring vehicle movements, and optimizing routes and turnaround times. The role involves tracking deliveries, resolving delays or operational issues, and maintaining clear communication with drivers, clients, and internal teams. The Traffic Manager will also review daily reports, ensure compliance with company policies and transport regulations, and support continuous improvement in productivity and service quality. This position requires hands-on involvement in the yard and office to ensure smooth traffic flow and timely execution of transport activities.
Qualifications
Experience in logistics, transportation management, or fleet operations, with a strong understanding of route planning and scheduling.
Ability to coordinate dispatch activities, manage multiple trips and vehicles, and handle day-to-day operational challenges.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
Proficiency in basic computer applications (e.g., spreadsheets, email, transport management tools) and maintaining accurate records.
Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to make quick, practical decisions under time pressure.
Knowledge of road safety norms and transport-related regulatory requirements is an advantage.
Prior experience in a transport or trucking company and familiarity with the Bikaner region and surrounding routes is preferred.
Minimum educational qualification of a high school diploma; a degree in logistics, supply chain, or business is beneficial.
