Role Description The Senior Vice President of Project Management is a full-time remote role responsible for leading complex, multi-stream initiatives that span traditional banking functions and modern fintech solutions. This role oversees project and program portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and technology roadmaps. Day-to-day, the SVP will define standards for project governance, guide project planning and execution, manage budgets and resource allocation, and track performance against milestones and KPIs. The SVP will collaborate closely with executive leadership, product, technology, risk, and operations teams to translate business strategies into actionable delivery plans, resolve cross-functional issues, and mitigate risks. The role also includes coaching and mentoring project management teams, promoting agile ways of working, and continuously improving delivery practices across the organization.
Qualifications
Strong Project Management skills, including end-to-end project lifecycle leadership and stakeholder coordination.
Proficiency in Program Management and Portfolio Management to oversee multiple concurrent initiatives.
Experience with Budgeting and financial oversight for large-scale projects and programs.
Advanced Project Planning and organizational skills to define roadmaps, timelines, and resource plans.
Robust Analytical Skills to interpret data, assess performance, and support evidence-based decisions.
Extensive experience in financial services, fintech, or digital transformation within regulated environments.
Demonstrated ability to bridge business strategy and technical execution, ideally with agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities at executive and team levels.
Leadership experience managing and developing high-performing project management teams in remote or distributed settings.
Relevant advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Scrum) are highly beneficial.
