Technical Management Director

Role Description The Technical Management Director is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading multidisciplinary engineering and research teams that design, build, and maintain AI solutions for clients. This role oversees end-to-end project execution, from technical discovery and architecture definition to implementation, deployment, and post-launch optimization. The director will coordinate R&D initiatives, guide software development practices, and ensure alignment between technical deliverables and business objectives. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing project roadmaps, setting technical standards, mentoring team members, collaborating with product and client stakeholders, and monitoring performance, reliability, and scalability of AI systems. The role also involves contributing to AI strategy, improving internal processes, and supporting pre-sales and technical guidance for key engagements.
Qualifications
Strong team management and team leadership skills, with experience guiding technical and cross-functional teams.
Proven background in research and development (R&D), particularly in AI, machine learning, or data-driven products.
Hands-on experience in software development, preferably in Python or similar languages used for ML and backend services.
Demonstrated project management skills, including planning, prioritization, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
Solid understanding of AI/ML concepts, MLOps practices, cloud platforms, and scalable distributed systems.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical topics into clear, actionable information for diverse audiences.
Experience working in remote, globally distributed teams, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; equivalent practical experience considered.
Previous leadership experience in AI, software engineering, or technology consulting environments is highly beneficial.
