Role Description The Senior Resident role is a full-time, on-site position based at CK Birla Hospital in Gurugram. The Senior Resident will provide direct patient care, including clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management under the supervision of senior consultants. Daily responsibilities include conducting ward rounds, documenting clinical notes, ordering and interpreting investigations, and coordinating with nursing and allied health teams to ensure continuity of care. The Senior Resident will participate in procedures as per credentialing, support emergency and critical care services, and contribute to multidisciplinary case discussions. The role also involves maintaining high standards of medical ethics, adhering to hospital protocols, engaging in clinical audits, and participating in teaching, training, and continuous professional development activities.
Qualifications
Relevant medical degree (MBBS) with completed residency or postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in the appropriate specialty from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the appropriate medical council and eligibility to practice medicine in India.
Demonstrated clinical skills in patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and evidence-based management in an acute care hospital setting.
Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals, to deliver coordinated patient care.
Strong communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and colleagues, with clear, accurate clinical documentation and handovers.
Commitment to ethical medical practice, patient safety, infection control, and adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
Experience or interest in advanced technologies and procedures, with openness to learning and participating in innovative treatment modalities.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights and weekends, as required in a tertiary care hospital environment.
Prior experience as a Resident or Senior Resident in a similar specialty or tertiary care setting is preferred.
